The short version. You can play without giving us anything — no name, no email, no sign-up. If you choose to sign in, we store your email so your progress follows you to another device. The website's information pages show ads from Google AdSense; the browser game itself shows none. The mobile apps show a short ad between some rounds, which you close yourself; you can remove ads permanently with a one-time purchase. We run no analytics or tracking pixels, and we never sell your data.
Pufferio is operated by Omri Dicori (Israel). For anything in this policy, write to omri@dicori.co.il. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
| Data | Why | When |
|---|---|---|
| An anonymous account ID | To save your progress and keep your place in a room | Created automatically the first time you play |
| Your display name | So other players can tell who is who in a round | Only what you type in Settings |
| Email address | To link your progress to you, so it works on your other devices | Only if you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook |
| Game progress: level, XP, Puffers, items you own and have equipped | To give you back what you earned | While you play |
| Round records: arena, character, placement, knockouts, round length, peak air, app version | To calculate rewards and show your statistics | At the end of each round |
| Advertising identifiers and technical device data, handled by our ad partner | To show the short ad between rounds in the mobile apps, and to count it | Mobile apps only, and never once you have bought Remove Ads |
| Purchase records: which pack, the store's transaction ID, amount | To credit what you bought and to handle refunds | Only if you buy something in the mobile app |
Our hosting providers automatically process technical information needed to serve the game — such as your IP address and browser type — in their server logs. We do not use that information to build a profile of you.
During a round, other players in that arena see your display name and your character. Nothing else about you is shared with them. Choose a display name you are comfortable showing in public.
We set no advertising or analytics cookies ourselves; Google AdSense, which serves the ads on the website's information pages, may set its own cookies as described in Google's policies. The game stores data on your own device (browser local storage) to keep you signed in and to hold your settings and progress while offline. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
The mobile apps show one full-screen ad after some rounds. You close it yourself — video ads become skippable after a few seconds — and it never appears during a round. The only video you would ever watch in full is the optional one behind the round-end “New round X2” button, and that is always your choice.
Pufferio is rated for everyone, so we cannot assume an adult is holding the phone: we request non-personalized ads only. Our ad partner still processes technical data — an advertising identifier, IP address, device type and which ads were shown — to deliver and count ads and to prevent fraud. Where the law requires consent, you will be asked before any ad loads, and you can change your answer later in Settings.
Buying Remove Ads stops all of this permanently on your account: no ad is requested, so nothing is sent to the ad partner.
These providers act on our behalf and may store data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Progress and round records are kept while your account exists. Delete your account and they are erased immediately — see deleting your account. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, to object to processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. You can delete your account and its data from inside the game at any time (Settings → Delete account), or write to omri@dicori.co.il.
Pufferio is suitable for all ages and contains no chat and no user-generated content beyond a display name. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them beyond what is described above; an account can be created with no personal information at all. Because we cannot know the age of the person holding the phone, ads in the mobile apps are always requested as non-personalized. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us an email address you would like removed, write to us and we will erase it. See also our age suitability page.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and announce anything significant in the game.
