Pufferio

Points, levels and gift boxes

Pufferio player guide

The short version. Placement pays points, playing pays XP, every level pops a gift box with a random skin you do not own yet. Nothing in the shop is required to win, cosmetics change how you look, never how you play.

Points

Points are the spending currency. A standard eight-player round pays:

XP and levels

XP measures playing, not just winning: every finished round pays 20 XP, the podium adds 25 / 15 / 10 for first, second and third, and each knockout adds 5. Levels get gradually longer, each one needs 140 + 30 × your level (so level 1 → 2 takes 170 XP, level 10 → 11 takes 440). Win or lose, the bar always moves.

Gift boxes

Every level you cross pops one gift box. Inside is a random skin for a random character, drawn only from skins that character does not own yet. A box never wastes itself on a duplicate. Rarity is weighted honestly: common skins fall often, epics are exactly as rare as their price suggests. When a character owns everything, the box pays points instead.

The shop

Points buy skins, eye sets and auras per character. A few special items are earned only: achievement prizes that no amount of points can buy, which is what makes them worth wearing. Country flags exist for nearly every flag on earth. Everything cosmetic is exactly that: cosmetic.

What does not pay

Private rooms record your stats but pay no points or XP: you choose the opposition there, and one human against seven bots would win every time. Paid progress comes from real matchmade rounds. The rounds still count in your history; they just do not mint currency.
