Private rooms

Pufferio player guide

A private room is how you play with people you actually know. Create one, and the game hands you a short code. Anyone who enters that code lands in the same arena, the same mode, the same field size, with no account, no lobby and no waiting.

The code contains the room

A Pufferio room code is seven characters, and it does not point at a room stored on a server. It is the room. The seed, the arena, the mode and the field size are packed into the code itself. Because the simulation is fully deterministic, two people who type the same code play a genuinely identical round, down to every bot’s every decision. Same code, same round, comparable results, which turns any group chat into a tournament: post a code, everyone plays it, best placement wins the argument.

What the host picks

Sharing

The room screen shares the code as a link. A friend with the app lands straight in the room; a friend without it lands on the download page, installs, and the game still remembers where they were headed. Bots fill any seat that people leave empty, so a room of three friends still plays as a full round.

The fine print

Room rounds are for bragging rights: they count in your statistics, but they pay no points or XP (why), and they show no ads. Just the game.
